Dubai, UAE: A recent change requires all UAE entry permit applicants to submit a scan or copy of the passport’s front cover page, in addition to the main information page of the passport.
What changed
Immigration authorities have issued a new circular instructing that the passport’s external cover page be included in all new entry-permit applications.
The rule applies to all nationalities and all visa types when submitting a new entry permit.
This update was communicated through Amer centres in Dubai and typing centres in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Applicants should always verify the latest document requirements directly with authorities like ICP (the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security) and GDRFA-Dubai.
For reference, ICP’s toll-free number is 600 522222, and for GDRFA-Dubai it’s 800 5111
